Hi, I’m Liz. I've previously worked in education and advertising, but currently I’m lucky enough to say I mainly coach rowing for a living in London at the moment! I began rowing at Stratford-upon-Avon BC as a junior, then moved to Shrewsbury School. During 2020-21 I coached at SUABC on a voluntary basis, and particularly enjoyed how much I learned working with the adaptive squad. It was during that time I really understood how much I have gained from this amazing sport. Everyone, regardless of background, disability or any other barriers, should have the chance to try rowing and benefit from the wonderful community that comes with it.
I’m on my own mission to give back, and part of that is by supporting Love Rowing’s marketing and comms work. This brilliant charity represents the responsibility we all have within rowing: how can we make our sport more inclusive, and welcome those who wouldn’t otherwise have seen rowing as an option for them?
