Howden Insurance Brokers are huge supporters of Love Rowing’s mission to make rowing more accessible to all abilities. They understand how beneficial rowing can be, both physically and mentally and have donated to Love Rowing's adaptive programme.  Howden's donation has meant adaptive row training for coaches has been funded and will be rolled out to all clubs in the new year. The donation has also seed funded a project in partnership The Silverlining Charity which helps to rebuild and support the lives of all those affected by and living with brain injury.

In partnership with The Silverlining Charity, launching in January, Love Rowing will host monthly social ‘coffee, cake and row afternoons’ for those affected by brain injury, in order to introduce rowing into their lives in a friendly, welcoming environment. The sessions will offer continued and collaborative physical and cognitive rehabilitation through rowing. Love Rowing hope to host these sessions across the country.

Mike Farrell from Howden Insurance Brokers commented ‘We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Love Rowing and in particular around the adaptive programme. We appreciate the great work Love Rowing do in supporting clubs to widen the availability of rowing to the community.’

‘Howden are also assisting British Rowing clubs through a bespoke insurance programme for rowing clubs. As British Rowing’s appointed insurance brokers, we understand the needs of clubs and are in a position to offer a tailor-made insurance product for clubs’ liability and property/contents needs’.

Interested in participating?

Love Rowing are looking for clubs who would like to participate in the Silverliners adaptive row pilot and would love to hear from you if you are interested in hosting a session. Please email sally.corader@loverowing.org with your details.
